Erg Chebbi Dunes

Erg Chebbi Dunes represent the unique and true Saharan Erg of Morocco, a spectacular huge dune sea of wind-blown sand, normally characteristic of Algerian Sahara. Its charming dunes change colour all day long, from rose to gold and then to red shades. This is the best place in Morocco where you can appreciate the clearness of the sky and of the desert.

Tour 4 day – Difficulty: Easy

Min. 2 participants

1° day : you leave Marrakech at 8 a.m. on a 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser with air conditioning with your guide/driver Zaid. Destination: Ouarzazate, through the salt track. Visit of the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. You arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Visit of the Kasbah of Tinrit and of the Medina.

2° day : magical Draa Valley, a long carousel of palms groves, Kasbahs and Berber villages. Draa is one of the longest river of Morocco: it rises in Atlas and flows into the Atlantic by Cap Draa.
Draa palm groves are very fertile and rich in date palms, olive, almond and citrus trees. The most blooming area is that between Agdz and Zagora (circa 95 Km).

3° day : back in Merzouga. The tour goes on to Dades Valley and Gorges. The Valley is delimited by Atlas mountains and the rugged mountain chain of Jebel Sarhro. Because of its big oasis and the high presence of Kasbahs, it is also known as “Valley of 1000 Kasbahs”.
Deeper in the valley and in the Atlas sides, you can admire the spectacular Dades Gorges and Todra Gorges, scattered with palm groves.
